Well, now you have your chance – come with us and we will have you building rafts, running over tyres, throwing yourself over team mates, making that tight rope walk six foot above the ground with only a piece of twinning to hold on to.

Below is just a brief snaphot of some tried and tested tasks

Nuclear Disposal

Using items provided, the team task is to place a canister containing a highly unstable material into a metal box and transport it across and through various obstacles to a de-toxification point without personally touching either box or canister.
The team has to place the canister into a receptacle, which is placed inside an exclusion zone. To ensure safety procedures are observed when carrying dangerous materials, all team members are joined together at the wrists.

Blindfold tent building

Your objective is to erect the large Army tent, for the whole team to get inside it and ring the fire bell loud and clear, and then to dismantle the tent, fold it and bag it, but only one team member can see. Points are awarded accordingly

3D Spiders web

Firstly the team must successfully negotiate the giant spiders web, getting all team members through without using any section more than once.
Then the difficult part, they have to put together the giant interconnecting log pile – there are bound to be major discussions about this !!

Get the picture

Communication and observation are the key skills in this game. The teams nominated managers have to describe to the workers how to rebuild a dismantled modern sculpture.
The managers have the pictures but cannot leave their seats and the workers may not see the pictures. Teams are scored on speed and accuracy.

The Great Egg Launch

Each team will have 20 minutes to design and construct two types of boulder launcher, capable of firing boulders as far as possible. The boulders are in fact eggs, hard boiled for the construction and practice sessions and delicately normal for the competition distance throw. There is a varied selection of equipment to use and endless solutions to the puzzle.
A potentially sticky challenge with eggs often going straight up, backwards or even exploding in mid air !!
